Egypt and the Red Sea September 2027

Egypt has always been a big draw for Kristen and Paul with its incredible historical sites as well as the famous diving in the Red Sea. Paul first dove the Red Sea in 1991 and has been many times since including writing his dissertation for his degree on “How diving has affected the coral reef depletion in the Red Sea”

When we saw the Scuba Scene Liveaboard, we decided we have to bring a group to explore this incredible gem.

There are 2 options with the trip again; join us to explore the historical sites and join the liveaboard or just join the Liveaboard to explore the Red Sea.

If you join the full trip then we will start in Cairo for 3 nights including tours of the Pyramids, Citadel, Coptic Cairo, Grand Egyptian Museum and a visit to the oldest Pyramid at Saqqara. Cairo is a bustling, crazy city but we will be guided at all times by an Egyptologist who will ensure we get to see the best of the sites in a safe and easy way.

After the incredible sites of Cairo we will fly to Hurgarda to meet the Scuba Scene liveaboard for an amazing 7 night adventure to the Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone islands. This will give us a great chance to not only see the incredible corals of the Red Sea, but also the Oceanic White Tips and Hammerheads that make this area famous.

When we reach back to Hurgarda those on the full trip will transfer by land to Luxor the Ancient capital of Egypt. There we will meet our Nile cruise boat which will be our home for the next 4 nights. We will explore the wonders of Karnak Temple, The Valley of the Kings, Colossus of Memnon and the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor before heading south down The Worlds Longest River. On the way we will stop and some more amazing historical sites that are far less visited such as Kom Ombo Temple, Crocodile Museum, Edfu Temple, Philae Temple and also experience sailing on a Felucca. The cruise will take us all the way to Aswan where you can fly back to Cairo to end the tour.

This trip is open to Advanced Open Water Divers with nitrox and 40 logged dives and above. This is due to the remoteness and depth that we could be diving at.

DIVE AND TRIP INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

All divers participating in the Seminole Scuba International Travel Trips are required to show proof of current dive accident insurance from a recognized and reputable carrier. Evacuation coverage must be included in your policy.

We highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance as well to help recoup non-refundable deposits and trip costs in the event that you need to cancel your reservation. Some locations require this but we suggest it for all our clients as we travel to remote locations.

Diver’s Alert Network offers both Travel and Dive Accident Insurance and are our recommended option. You can use the links below to obtain these options.
