Although most scuba dives are made with a buddy, an experienced diver may want or need to make dives without a partner. During the Self-Reliant Diver course, you learn about potential risks of diving alone and the value of equipment redundancy and necessary back-up gear. During three scuba dives, you develop skills for self-reliance and independence, while becoming a stronger partner in a dive pair or team.
This class is perfect for Photographers, Single divers, Deeper divers, Drift Divers and everyone else.
Minimum requirements before taking the class;
100 Logged Dives
PADI Advanced Open Water or Equivalent
PADI Nitrox Diver or Equivalent
18 Years of age
Highly recommended other courses before taking this class are;
PADI Deep Diver
PADI Wreck Diver
Emergency First Response or CPR First Aid
PADI Oxygen Provider
For this class you will need extra equipment that you will be able to use as you continue your diving adventures. This includes a separate air source (Pony rig or Stage recommended), Reel 150ft line, DSMB, Knife or Cutting tool, Slate and Pencil, Spare Mask, Backup depth timer (Can be a 2nd computer), Light, Whistle.
