Philippines March 2027

This is an area Paul has wanted to explore for years. Having been to the Philippines a few times before we have explored the more commonly known areas of the country. This time we will be exploring two new areas in Palawan and Tubbataha. The Philippines is known for its incredible corals and macro life interspersed with the larger life like Whale Sharks. We will hopefully get some of both of these along with some other incredible creatures.

We have two options on this trip. The first is to join Kristen and Paul in El Nido for 4 nights before the liveaboard. We will stay in a nice 4* hotel in the El Nido area where we can dive, and explore the beauty of Palawan including exploring the Limestone islands on an Island hopping boat tour, and the Nacpan Beach and Nacpan Waterfall tours. After the fun in El Nido we will transfer to Puerto Princessa to meet the Philippine Siren and the others not doing the pre-trip in El Nido.

The Philippine Siren is a beautiful boat that we have used before and like all the Sirens is a fantastic host for all our diving needs.

From Puerto Princessa we head out to Tubbataha for 6 nights of diving and exploring this remote reef that is only accessible one month of the year. We will have the chance to explore areas that others have never dived. Tubbataha is known for its stunning corals and larger life. Whale sharks, Tiger Sharks and the incredibly rare Bowmouth Guitar Shark are regularly seen here as well as stunning macro life that you always expect in the Philippines.

Due to the remoteness of the diving in Tubbataha, all divers must be Advanced open Water divers with Nitrox and at least 40 logged dives.

DIVE AND TRIP INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

All divers participating in the Seminole Scuba International Travel Trips are required to show proof of current dive accident insurance from a recognized and reputable carrier.  Evacuation coverage must be included in your policy.

We highly recommend that you purchase trip insurance as well to help recoup non-refundable deposits and trip costs in the event that you need to cancel your reservation. Some locations require this but we suggest it for all our clients as we travel to remote locations.

Diver’s Alert Network offers both Travel and Dive Accident Insurance and are our recommended option. You can use the links below to obtain these options.
