Philippines Trip January 2019

The Philippines was yet another trip that just didn’t disappoint.

After arriving a couple days early and a little rest in Cebu we embarked the Philippines Siren for our 10 night cruise around Malapasqua and the Visayas.

We had a wonderful trip with a lot of spectacular diving and a variety of sealife. With an itinerary that took us to the islands of; Cabilao, Oslob, Dauir, Apo Island, Moalboal, Malapascua, Kalangganan, and Capitanillo we managed to see quite the variety of creatures in the 32 dives that were done.

The night dives were some of the best we have ever experienced. And Paul finally managed to see his flamboyant cuttlefish. Other creatures we saw were the likes of the thresher shark, with its tail the same size as its body, it is a graceful creature to behold.

There were tons of Turtles, Nudibranchs, Sea snakes, Whale sharks, Dwarf Cuttlefish, Painted and Giant Frogfish, Thresher Sharks, Millions of Sardines in the largest static baitball in the World.

The Philippine Siren was an outstanding boat and the crew and Cruise Director Chrissey made it an excellent trip. We didnt miss out on any dives even though we caught the end of a Tropical Cyclone and then got into another depression. The Philippines is truely a beautiful place to dive.

We will be going again!
